Pat, Paint and Just Pause …

Ever wanted to spend an afternoon painting a Highland cow… while an actual Highland cow watches on? That’s exactly what happens at our Paint & Pat: Meet the Coos sessions here on the farm in Traralgon.

Life’s busy. These sessions are about slowing down – taking a breath, patting a coo (or two), and having a laugh while you learn to paint your very own shaggy-haired masterpiece. Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before – our friendly local artists will guide you step-by-step, and you’ll be surprised at what you can create.

We’ll set you up with everything you need: a ready-to-go canvas, paints, brushes, an apron, and of course, some furry farm inspiration. Midway through, we’ll head out to meet the Highlands up close – bring your boots, because paddocks mean mud (and the occasional cow pat). After that, it’s back to the easel with a complimentary drink in hand, plus tea, coffee and light snacks to keep you fuelled. Feel free to BYO extra treats if you like – nothing wrong with a sneaky cheese platter!

Sessions run for around three to four hours and are capped at just eight people, so they stay relaxed and personal. They’re a brilliant way to spend time with your partner, family or friends, and they make for a memorable hen’s party, work get-together or ladies’ day out. We suggest 12 and over, but everyone’s welcome – especially those who say “oh, but I can’t paint!” (spoiler: you can).

We do our best to run rain or shine – all part of the farm life adventure. Just throw on a weatherproof jacket and embrace whatever the sky brings.
